Warfarin Case 1: Guy Knee

It is 28/03/2016. You are an FY1 on call and have been asked to prescribe warfarin for a patient you have not yet met. The patient is a gentleman called Guy Knee, who had been admitted to hospital following a fall. His hospital number is MS134564, and his date of birth is 02/09/1934. Since admission it has been noted that he is in Atrial Fibrillation. He has a History of Diabetes Mellitus. Her current medications include Metformin, Atorvastatin, Ramipril and Furosemide.

It is decided that he is to begin warfarin treatment to reduce his risk of a stroke.
